James Redford has unhappily died.
The son of Robert Redford, who being implemented in his footsteps as a filmmaker and activist in his own title, passed away at his home on Friday( October 16) in Marin County, Calif. at persons under the age of 58, his wife Kyle justified on Twitter.
“Jamie died today. We’re heartbroken. He lived a beautiful, impactful life& was adored by countless. He is likely to be seriously missed. As his wife of 32[ years ], I’m most grateful for the two spectacular children we parent together. I don’t know what we would’ve done[ without] them over the past 2[ times ],” she wrote.
She later confirmed in an interview with The Salt Lake Tribune that he died due to bile-duct cancer in his liver, detected last-place November while awaiting a transplant.
James was known mostly for documentary labor, including The Big Picture: Rethinking Dyslexia and Toxic Hot Seat. His most recent film, Playing for Keeps, had its premiere this month at the Mill Valley Film Festival, and explored the health benefits of play time for children and adults.
